Echo Rift

Echo Rift is a top-down dungeon crawler with a twist: you can't see the walls. You need to use high-frequency echolocation to figure out where the walls and stairs are. Though be careful, you're not alone in this rift...

In the Horror mode, the stairs on each floor are guarded by monsters that you have no hope of killing. If one starts chasing you, you better run quickly. Some monsters operate on sound, allowing you to sneak past them easily if you make no sound. Meanwhile some operate on visuals, charging straight at you if you're seen in their line of sight. Use your echolocation, learn the monster's patterns, and search through the rift to find the stairs. Good luck.

In the Blade mode, you swap out your standard all-direction echolocation for a high-frequency blade, cutting down monsters in your way. Fight through the dungeon to the higher floors, being careful not to get overcrowded by monsters. Don't overuse your blade though, as if it's not fully charged it will fire fewer echoes on each click.

• W/A/S/D - Movement

• SPACE - Use echolocation (only in Horror mode)

CONSOLE COMMANDS:

If the game is too tough, you may wish to use some of these console commands! Access the command window by pressing the non-numpad 0 key.

• fps - turns on / off fps counter
• minimap - turns on / off minimap display
• path - turns on / off display for all enemy paths
• display - turns on / off the dungeon display (removes the need for echoes)
• aon - turns on all above displays
• aoff - turns off all above displays
• pulse - turns on / off echo pulse (automatically fires echoes, only in Horror mode)
• help - lists all commands
